Scary Augmented reality

Okay so this is really scary and really well done. I'm sure this is someone's idea of appropriate uses of technology.

Hard Rock Cafe Multi-Touch, Multi-user wall, Las Vegas

Okay so i seriously would love something like this at home :-). Of course a little smaller. I don't think it will be long till we see some real application of multitouch computing in a home personal environment beyond the mobile device.

Ignite: Molly Wright Steenson - A Series of Tubes, EP 7

muhahah. A Series of tubes indeed. The reason she is talking so fast is because the talk is for a short fixed time and her slides only stay up for 10 seconds each! youch.

Hatha Yoga Again

I've started another 8 week course of Hatha Yoga at lunch times. There are only beginner classes available at this time, but i'm doing them twice a week and the teacher seems well grounded in her own practice.

I'm happy to report that the Yoga I did with Craig from Art of Yoga is translating well. As I do the asana's I remember tips and points of focus from those classes.

If you are in Sydney you must check out the best yoga around at Art of Yoga

weight loss

Since going on my raw food diet aka "live foods" I have lost quite a bit of weight. First i went from around 90kg to 80kg. This happened in the first month and a half. I have dropped now to 75kg. Which is actually smack bang in the middle of average for my height.

Of course i'm conditioned to think that being this light isn't healthy, and i was suprised when i looked up healthy weights from a number of sources on the internet and found that, actually, I'm now considered of normal weight.

From the reading i've been doing it is normal to drop some weight as you change the types of food you are eating. My body should then add some weight again once i get to a more natural level.

I've noticed that i can sleep less and can get out of bed without feeling tired/groggy. An interesting side note, when i was out for lunch last week i bought a salad that had a yoghurt dressing. The next day i woke up and had mucus in my throat/nose. Sarah mentioned that i sounded blocked up on the phone like i was getting a cold.

I've pretty much always had some low lying level of mucus in my throat/nose and have been suprised to realise that this has reduced considerably. I didn't notice that it had gone until it came back! hehe.

New Categories

I've added some new categories that loosely map to the areas that i categorise my life into. Kinda funny for someone who blogs once a year at best <grin>

As i was riding to work today i realised the connection between the food you eat and the process of making significant positive life changing choices. I've often wondered how i can spend so much time not aware of issues that are negatively impacting in my life. The basic premise of my thought was that when you are eating a 100% Raw food diet, your body/mind is given more time to do other things than just digestion. I've found that my thinking has become more subtle. I get little glimpses of insight into a articular aspect of what i'm doing. and interestingly the clarity of mind to be able to communicate my thoughts. As a case in point today a co-worker was talking about the latest Amy Winehouse article on the Sydney Morning Herald Website. Normally i would make an offhand comment about Pop Singers and move on. But today i was in space where i could communicate that i thoght that the kind of article we where talking about was sensationalised voyeurism and that i didn't like focusing on those types of articles because it didn't provide any positive energy to my state. My co-worker nodded his head sagely and agreed. Somehow i managed to say all that without sounding holier-than-though-preaching-tosser. It was all about the state i was in. Now it is true that a live foods diet is not the only thing that has changed, and surely there are times when i'm less that diplomatic. But I guess what i'm trying to blog about is a sense of finding my Authentic Voice deep in there somehow. love to you all, ram.

I got talked into helping a friend this weekend whose computer had been disabled by viruses.

After doing a scan with the command line scanner provided by sophos and the latest ide's from their website I noticed that there was still some suspicious looking file under "Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data" that weren't picked up by the scan.

I copied the file to my 256M USB Key and uploaded it to Sophos:

Sophos just got back to me and told me that i had discovered a new virus which they dubbed Troj/Muddy-A

It's a shame i didn't get to name it.

[Here is the info about the Trojan i discovered]
http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/trojmuddya.html

Follow these steps to download the command line scanner and the latest IDE's [Hint: It's free for anyone ]

Upload Samples here:

I told my friend who is really embarassed because they had 52 viruses on the systems with about 10 differrent variants!
